Phhhoto was started back in 2013 with an iPad based photo booth. Unlike capturing 4 photos in a strip, it captures 4 frames and then strings them together by creating an animated GIF image. It has special built-in lightening feature.
It is being assumed that Phhhoto is the only social market app that can be considered as an actual or physical party product and can move ahead to enterprise level. According to the statistics, it has reached more than 1 million users in last 9 months and people have shared approximately 10 million pictures over the Phhhoto platform.
The app was launched back in Aug 2014 and company has grown to 1 million registered users. For time till now Phhhoto Pro has been a very useful tool and 300 corporate clients are already using it by setting it up at 1,000 different events.
Phhhoto app is a little different from other popular social networks like Facebook & Twitter, as those are built to stream content from different other networks while this app is supported to share the content created from Snapchat.
"We're trying to build something pure, and the product has gotten to a point where the Phhhoto media type is something that our users are enthusiastic about, so now it's about how we can loop that into new ways of communicating, and perhaps even new content types," said Omar Elsayed.
Phhhoto has raised $225K in seed funding led by Diplo.
