Samsung has announced a new small storage device, the SSD T1. Its size is approximately the same as a normal standard business card and it weighs only an ounce but still it can store up to 1 Terabyte of data.
According to the news, 256 GB and 500 GB versions are also introduced. With respect to the storage capacity of the device, the expected price will range from $179 to $500. T1 expected to ship this month.
Although many companies are providing huge cloud storage options and might be it is felt odd that Samsung is trying to sale a memory stick, but uploading and downloading of large content over internet or mobile internet (LTE) can be a lot laborious. So when there is a need of transferring huge data, this type of device will surely help and will save time.
It will be interesting to see, if the businesses with creative professions who have to handle large files / data are attracted towards this gadget in coming months or not.
