According to the news, Microsoft has confirmed that mobile devices or tablets that are running with their current latest mobile OS, Windows 8.1, will get an offer to upgrade to Windows 10.
Microsoft's mobile chief Steven Elop confirmed the plan during a press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. He also explained that some of the features in the new operating system will be different for different devices, as not all devices have same specifications.
Later this year, Microsoft will introduce dedicated Windows 10 devices with some flagship models, said Elop during the press conference.
This all was announced during the launch of two new mobile devices, Lumia 640 and 640 XL. Both will currently shipped with Windows 8.1 with variety of Microsoft services as a package.
They also showed some new features of Windows 10 during the event for the first time and also elaborated about their HoloLens technology.
